Since September 2019, Australia is burning. The catastrophic bushfires in Australia have destroyed dozens of homes, leaving many homeless and displaced, and devastating habitat of millions of native animals. Deadly bushfires have already burned more than 10.3 million hectares of land. Enormous bushfires still are ranging across swathes of land in Australia. The high temperatures, strong winds, and years of drought have stimulated intense wildfires.

There has been a tragic loss to lives, property, and nature including the death of 1.25 billion animals. States of Emergency have been declared in New South Wales, Victoria, and the Australian Capital Territory. Mass evacuations have been taking place when conditions allow.

About 5 million people have been affected by the fires. Hundreds of thousands are now displaced or have lost their homes.
